This month we are making Strawberry Mooncake Cake Pops! A delicious take on the beloved mooncakes. Filled with vanilla cake flavored with strawberry and wrapped in smooth fondant, this is a simple activity to create and share with loved ones during the holiday.Ā  šŸ„®

Instructions:

Strawberry Mooncake Cake Pops KitStrawberry Mooncake Cake Pops makes 6 mooncakes Vanilla Cake Pieces Coconut Oil Strawberry Powder Fondant Gold Dust Mooncake Mold Rolling Pin Corn Starch Paint Brush ParchmentCrumble the vanilla cake pieces while keeping it inside the bag. Add strawberry powder and coconut oil inside the bag and continue to mix until it all comes together.Add crumbled cake mixture to a bowl and divide into 6 equal portions. Using your hands, squish each portion into a ball. This will form your ā€œcake pops.ā€ Set aside while you work with the fondant.Lay the parchment paper on your work surface. Dust a little bit of cornstarch on top of the paper and the rolling pin. Start with one fondant ball. First, knead the fondant to make it more pliable. Then using your rolling pin, continue to roll out the fondant as thin as possible to about 3.5 inches in diameter.Place a cake ball in the middle of the fondant then wrap the cake until covered. Place the ball into the flower mold. Firmly stamp the ball to reveal a flower design.Using your pipette, add 3 drops of water to the gold dust. Mix together using your paint brush. Paint gold embellishments on your mooncake cake pops to complete your design.
