Christine

Christine is a working mom who runs a business by day and is an avid home baker by night. She has a degree in Child Development and her Master's in Business. She loves to bake pies, sourdough bread, and cookies. However, she found it stressful to do baking projects with her young kids. Flour would get everywhere, measurements were off, and the kitchen was a huge mess. As a former child development professional and preschool teacher, she knew that having one-on-one projects and quality time with her kids were important to their mental growth and development. She wanted to share her passion with her kids, but without the mess and stress. So she reached out to her friend who was a professional pastry chef and cake designer, and that's where Sprinkles & Gems began. They curate monthly decorating kits that take the stress out of home baking projects while not compromising on quality and flavor.

Head Pastry Chef and Celebrity Cake Artist

Chef Abigail

With over 15 years of experience in the cake world, Abigail, aka "Abs," has designed cakes for celebrities Ali Wong, LeBron James, the Kardashians, Chrissy Teigen, and many many more. She graduated with a BFA in Interior Design, but always had a passion for food and cooking. During her time in college, shows like Ace of Cakes, featuring Duff Goldman, inspired her to pursue cake decorating, a career that combines the creative world of design as well as her love of being in the kitchen. In 2013, Abs graduated from the International Culinary Center in NYC where she received a certificate in Cake Techniques and Design. She moved back to LA where she worked in a few bakeries. This eventually led her to work for Duff's Cakemix and Charm City Cakes West as Duff Goldman's Lead Cake Artist...just like on Ace of Cakes! It was a dream come true. Abigail now runs her own cake studio, Abs of Cakes, in East Los Angeles taking custom orders, and has partnered with her good friend, Christine, to launch Sprinkles & Gems.
